PALM SPRINGS WINTER CLASSIC RESULTS!!!

Palm Springs Gay Softball League was well represented in the Palm Springs Winter Classic with teams in B, C , D and the Women's division. The teams that participated were......Alibi Heat, Barrack's Desert Storm, Tool Shed, Rainbow Riders, El Destino Diablos, Hunter's Dirtygirls and Delilah's Renegades. We were really proud of the results from all of the teams!

CONGRATULATIONS to the BARRACK'S DESERT STORM who took home the 1ST PLACE TROPHY in the C division. They marched through the tournament and were the UNDEFEATED going into the championship game which they won. The championship game was a hard fought game but the Storm came out on top with a 7 to 3 win over the West Hollywood After Hours. Congrats Storm!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS also go out to the
ALIBI HEAT who took home the 2ND PLACE TROPHY in the B division. Heat marched through the tournament undefeated going into the championship game. In the championship, Heat lost by 1 run to Long Beach which was a heartbreaker and created the need to play a second game. In the second game, the Heat just couldn't seem to get a break and Long Beach won. The Heat was clearly the stand's favorite........great going Heat!

We are hoping that our teams repeat their performance next week in the Las Vegas tournament.......good luck to all!

Congratulations to the RAINBOW RIDERS for bringing home the 3rd Place trophy from the recent San Diego Autumn Classic. It was a hard fought battle. The team marched through the first day of play....winning all games....and ended the day with an overtime game that kept the fans on the edge of their chairs. Sunday was a long hot day but the Riders stuck with it. After a loss that dropped them to the Loser's Bracket, the suffered their second loss but ended the tournament with the third place trophy. They were cheered on by the HUNTER'S "C" team and the AZUL'S "B" Team who both had been knocked out earlier in the day. The PALM SPRINGS GAY SOFTBALL LEAGUE was well represented. Once again, we will have a lot of new guys/gals joining us this season. We want this league to be a fun filled activity for all involved.....players, fans and friends. Let's remember to be good sports......its up to us as the coaches and managers to set the bar. There are already a lot of team rivalries that should take our league up to the next notch......one of pride and sportsmanship.........
